Paintable Acrylic glue Duct Sealant
Acrylic sealants are based on acrylic polymers and are recognised by several other names including decorators caulk, painters caulk or decorators acrylic. They are traditionally used as an economical filler and sealant mainly internally however some can be used externally.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
ZY duct sealant is an one part, general purpose, water based acrylic sealant that cures to a flexible and tough rubber with good adhesion to porous surface without primer. Suitable for sealing and filling gaps or joints where low demands of elongation are required .
TYPICAL USE
Filling gaps in walls , balustrades ,sills.
Connecting joints in plasterboard
Small plaster repairs before painting.
Sealing around window and door frames
Sealing of aerated concrete
Sealing of low movement construction joints between brick , concrete ,timber
Direction for use:
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and grease-free. Remove all grit, oil, grease, detergents, flaking paint, oil sealant and any loose materials.
Cut tip off nozzle and cartridge, screw nozzle onto cartridge.
Fit into caulking gun, Hold the sealant gun at 45-degree angle, using slow and even pressure to release the sealant from the gun.
If required, smoothen and shape sealant with a spatula dipped in a mild detergent
Remove excess uncured sealant with a mineral turpentine soaked cloth. Fully cured excess sealant can be removed by trimming it with a sharp knife.
